Veterans Day Assembly

Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School invites you to join us for a Veterans Day Assembly at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11 in the school gym.

Any alum who is a veteran or a member of law enforcement, along with their family, is welcome to join us at the school for the assembly. We also invite our law enforcement and fire department staff as well as our community leaders to attend and be recognized for your service and support of the VASJ community.

The event will include a keynote address by VASJ alum Chuck Kortovich '95. Kortovich enlisted in the Marine Corps the summer after his junior year at VASJ. He left for boot camp the day after his high school graduation and served in the Marines for four years before he was honorably discharged in 1999. After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, he reenlisted and deployed to Iraq in 2005 with the 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines. 

A small reception will take place after the assembly.

To all of our veterans and those who keep us safe in our neighborhoods, thank you for your service, bravery and sacrifice!
