We encourage all prospective families to follow the steps below to become a student at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School.
1. Fill out the Inquiry Form to ensure you receive information from the VASJ Admissions Office.
2. Schedule a Shadow Day (8th grade and transfer students).
3. Register for an Entrance Exam. All students in the eighth grade MUST take the OLSAT to be considered for admission to VASJ for ninth grade.4. Attend an Open House to speak with current students, teachers and coaches, plus take a tour of the building with one of our Student Ambassadors.
5. Complete an application. Non-Diocesan families apply through FACTS. Diocesan families apply through the Diocese beginning January 5, 2026. The deadline to submit applications to Catholic elementary schools is Monday, January 12, 2026.

To be considered for tuition assistance, families must submit a completed financial aid application to FACTS Financial Aid. The FACTS form is only available electronically and should be filled out for financial aid consideration prior to applying to VASJ.

The VASJ Admissions Committee will review the previous three academic years of grades, behavior reports and attendance reports, state test scores, Entrance Exam scores, and two recommendation forms from current core teachers or administrators.

We ask that you send us the student's current IEP and ETR so that our Intervention Team can review to make sure that we can accomodate. We offer Modified Math, Modified English and Directed Studies classes as well as a full-time Intervention Specialist. Please click here for more information about our Special Education program.
