June 10, 2025Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School is proud to announce that the VASJ boys 4x100 meter relay team was crowned state champions this past weekend!
The team finished first with a time of 41.81 on Saturday afternoon at Jesse Owens Stadium in Columbus. Congratulations to Jeremiah Martin '25, John Gibson '26, Ardell Chatman '26 and Ronnie Brown '27. The Viking Village is proud of you!
The relay team previously broke the Regional record during prelims with a time of 41.63 seconds. They also broke the VASJ record for the 4x100 meter relay. The record was last set in 1981 with a time of 42.16. Our Vikings finished with a time of 42.13 in the District final meet.
Congratulations also to the VASJ boys 4x400 for finishing seventh in the state championship meet with PR time of 3:21.10. Great job Jeremiah Martin '25, Caleb Marshall '25, Darion Taylor '25 and John Gibson '26!
