During the month of November, the VASJ boys basketball team and G.E.M. Club (Girls' Empowerment Meetings) hosted food drives to support the local community. Yesterday, members of both groups had the opportunity to visit the Euclid Hunger Center and drop off the non-perishable food items that were collected. The basketball team was represented by seniors Joe Fergus, Frankie Oriani and Lorenzo Oriani. G.E.M. was represented by sophomores Mariah Richardson and Aaliyah Ware.
Combined, both programs collected 264 pounds of food for the Euclid Hunger Center! We are so proud of the efforts of both organizations to make a difference in our community.
