Halle Lawless, director of service learning and marketing at McKeon Education Group, has been working weekly with VASJ students as part of our Service Learning Class. Each week students focus on a different topic, such as homelessness, poverty and illness, and then complete a service project related to the topic.
This week our sophomores participated in the second annual blanket making day as part of the class. Students worked together to create fleece blankets. These cozy blankets will be donated to sick children at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. We love watching our students learn the importance of acts of service.
