November 17, 2025Our students are builders, problem-solvers and future trades leaders. All they need is a space to make it happen!
Our #weGiveCatholic campaign this year is focused on reviving the trades at VASJ! We're working hard to equip our teacher, Mr. Tim Razayeski '04, with the necessary tools, equipment and space needed for his Tools & Machines class. Students have been focusing on woodworking this fall semester, and in the spring, they'll shift their focus to automotives.
Mr. Raz has been working out of a small classroom, but our goal is to give him and his students their own dedicated space! We plan to renovate a garage on campus to be used for our trades program. To complete the renovation, we need to do electric work, upgrade wiring, and add lighting and plumbing. Mr. Raz is also in need of many supplies, including a compressor, 5 engine stands, tool box sets, work benches, torque wrenches, lockers and shelving, a parts washer, textbooks, and safety equipment.
The Tech Building was once the hub of trades on campus. After an exciting renovation to house our athletic programs, including a brand-new weight room, locker rooms, a film room and offices, we're looking for a new home for our trades classes. Help us give our students a dedicated space to learn hands-on skills for future careers in the trades!
